Day to Day Wearable Makeup

Hey Beauties <3
So I know Spring Semester is starting for many of you dolls and I've come up with an easy, quick and beautiful makeup routine to look awake and ready for class even on your craziest mornings. So let's start ! Do keep in my my routine is oily skin friendly I know spring is coming soon and though our skin is a little under control do to the weather I promise this routine will pull through the warm days to come.
Moisturize your face I am using the Nourish Ogranic Face Lotion that I received in my Ipsy January Glam Bag
Since I've been sick and haven't got much sleep and I do work overnight I am combining two concealers. One to cover up my dark circles and the other to highlight my under eye. If you don't suffer from dark circles then the highlight will do just fine it is amazing in itself. So to conceal and balance out the darkness in my under eye I use the Laura Mercier Secret concealer in "Shade 4"
To highlight I use my favorite for the past two months my NARS creamy concealer in "Medium 1" I use my Real Techniques Foundation Brush to apply the Laura Mercier concealer and then dap the Nars concealer on top using my finger.

The secret to this look is the BB cream instead of foundation. It isn't going to make you feel like you have tons of makeup on yet your skin will look flawless throughout the day. My go to BB cream is Garnier in shade Medium/Deep. Perfect for controlling oily T-Zones throughout the day. I apply this lightly using my Real Techniques "Stippling Brush"

If you only use the NARS concealer you can skip this step but because the Laura Mercier concealer is very thick and creamy it tends to settle into my lines so setting is a must. I use Ben Nye Luxury Banana Powder to keep it looking fresh and keep it in place all day. To Apply this I used my Real Techniques "Setting brush" tapped some into the cap and when I dipped by brush I tapped out all of the excess powder so it wouldn't cake up underneath my eye (That is a must!)

Next you can grab any mascara for this look I decided to try out the Urban Decay "Big Fatty Mascara" that was sent to me with my purchase at ULTA. I loved the way my lashes look but it does rub off easily and that's a no no for me I don't want to look like a panda throughout my day.

On to my favorite part of this look BLUSH ! Oh my gosh where are my tanned girls at this is the color for us this is NYX "Cocoa blush". Picture does it no justice but its the perfect bronzy blush that adds just the right amount of a flushed look to your cheeks. I applied this with my Elf Blush Brush
After I apply chapstick this one was homemade for me by my little sister. I then put on NYC butter gloss in "Eclair" this butter gloss in my opinion is so universal I think it would look so nice on any skin tone + it makes me feel like Kim Kardashian.. maybe cause I never wear gloss but that has defintely changed after I saw how good this looked.

Lastly I finish off my look with theBalm "Mary-Lou Manizer" With a Fan brush I apply it on my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose, at the end of my brow line and put a little over my cupids bow <3

The pic doesn't do the look justice but this is no filter and you can see how flawless my face looks. "We woke up like thisssss - Bey's Voice lol"

Trying to rock your natural hair ?

When your hair has naturally air dried roll it up into a curl and pin it. Leave it on for 30+ Mins or while you do your makeup. Adding a little bit of hair spray is optional. Let pins go and boom natural looking curls gives your flat natural hair a little more volume.

Until next time beauties <3

Prepping for beauty sleep

I love taking my time putting on makeup everyday, love your skin and remove all of it at night before bedtime. Your pillows will thank you and so will your skin. Sleeping with makeup deprives your pores from breathing and instead causes them to clog up which can result in breakouts. Prevent this by removing your makeup EVERYNIGHT !

To start off I pin my hair back. I then grab my Maybelline Clean Express Oil-Free Makeup remover and pour it onto a cotton pad. I always start with my eye because mascara is the messiest to remove. Thankfully this makes it easier. Gently rub your eyes until you have removed all of the mascara and shadows. Then grab another cotton pad and wipe off your concealer, foundation and etc. Your face will look oily even though it is oil free.
Next head to the bathroom and grab your favorite Cleanser. I have been loving this Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser with Salicylic Acid. It completely replaced my Neautrogena Grapefuit which was over drying my skin in the winter. After I wash it once, I grab my Sirius Sonic Brush and go over my face again to assure myself I removed all of my makeup. You'd be surprised how much makeup ends up on the brush. Once I pat my face dry I grab more cotton pads and apply my favorite Clean & Clear Toner this is my third bottle. I haven't tried any other brand but this one has been working just fine for me. Once my face dries up I apply my face lotion and little bit of chapstick and I am ready for bed. Don't forget to floss and brush.

You are now ready for your beauty sleep princess <3

Love you all thank you for visiting

All of these products can be found at your local drug store

January Ipsy Bag : First Impression Review

Founded by Michelle Phan Ipsy Bag is a glam bag with personalized beauty products and offers.

How does it work?
You create an account based on your preference in makeup, brands, products and Skincare. You also state your skin type and tones. The team at Ipsy creates a monthly personalized glam bag based off of what they think goes with what you chose. So you build your makeup collection monthly just by sitting at home lol

How much does it cost?
Just $10 / Monthly charged to you card at the time of shipment

What was in my first Ipsy Glam Bag (January) ?

1. Briogeo "Don't Despair, Repair!" Deep conditioning mask

2. Elizabeth Mott Smooth Shadow creamy eye pencil

3. Mica Beauty Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm in "#6 Fiesta"

4. Nourish Organic Face Lotion

5. Proactiv Mark Fading Pads (4x)

First Impression:
So I was super excited to recieve my bag after all of the reviews I saw on YouTube. First of all I feel like I barely got anything compared to all of the reviews I saw. Their bags were jam packed mine could've definitely fit more products. I was dissappointed even though I'm excited to try the few things I got. I guess I will give it until March and see if my bag gets better because I definitely like the whole idea I'm just bummed I didn't recieve more things and none of the brands I picked. On the plus side the facial lotion and hair mask are organic and I'm loving the ingredients and can't wait to use them all up.

I'll be posting my Ipsy Bag monthly so come check with me then for my February Ipsy Bag <3

Winged Liner

Hey Lovies ! So as I've mentioned I suck at succeeding in winged liner but not anymore whoop whoop :)
I finally put to the test a method I've heard about but never tried.. The "Tape Trick" as I call it.

Prep Time:
I prep my lips with my Nivea "A Kiss of Mint & Minerals" refreshing lip care.
I then apply my Clinique "Even better eyes" Dark circle corrector on my under eyes. (I will offer my review on this product in January once I finish my 6 week trial period)
Something else I'm trying this month from the Vivo Per Lei Dead Sea Minerals Line is the "Day Moisturizer Creme" (This guy at the mall kept pushing me to try it out, I told him i have a beauty blog and that if the product sucks a lot of people will know about it... He is convinced that I will run back to hug him so let my 6 week trial begin lol )

Let's talk EYELINER :)
1. Prep your lids with any concealer I used Neautrogena "3-1 Concealer for eyes"
2. Grab any clear not too sticky tape and stick it on your forearm to remove any harsh stickyness.
3. Line of the tape with your bottom water line.
4. You can use any liner for this but I grabbed my favorite NYX "Liquid Black Liner".
5. I started with the wing of the eye, because there is tape some mistakes are allowed but keep your strokes short and precise.
6. Once I finished achieveing the wing I started again with small strokes from my inner corner and then began to connect to at the end.

Remove the tape and bam baby! You are a pro lol .. with tape

I finished off my face the way I usually do but with some different products
1. I applied my Maybelline "Fit Me" Concealer in "Medium"
2. I Set my undereye with Ben Nye Banana Powder using my Crown Brush Blush Brush
3. As always I grabbed my Real Techniques "Stippling Brush" and applied a little bit of my L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Foundation is shade "W7"

4. I then grabbed my Brush i got from a set on Groupon and applied Wet N Wild "Heather Silk" Blush
5. I then apply some Highlighter form my new Urban Decay Naked "Flushed" palette which I am in love with.

I finish up my look with NYX "Whipped Caviar " and Wet N Wild "Bare it all"

I am now off to my last Tuesday of the semester before finals :)

Bundle up guys and have a nice day !

Below I will provide Links on where to purchase some of the products

Most of what I use are from Drug Stores and I wouldn't recommend buying it online when its so easily accesible to most. If I didn't link something above it's because I am still trying out the product and wouldn't tell you guys to try it out just yet.

Win the war: Dry Skin

Hey LOVIES <3
I've missed you all tremendously I hope you can forgive my disappearance for I was busy with finals week, finally got my first degree, and I was also moving out. I'm not quite settled in yet but I had to make time for you all especially with the cold winter we are having in NYC.. soo let's get to it !

Staying moisturized in NY this winter is a battle for many, below I will speak of the products that keep my skin hydrated all day long

Over the summer I was diagnosed with Eczema which is an ongoing skin condition which causes dryness of the skin accompanied by itchiness. It went away two weeks after and I thought I was done with Eczema untillllll the winter came crashing in on my parade. So here the products I obsess over that keep my skins super hydrated.

Once I come out of the shower I apply  the Cetaphil "Moisturizing Cream" from the tub in the areas of my body that are affected the most. For me this includes (Elbows, Hips, Stomach, Knees and Feet)
I then follow with the Cetaphil "Skin Restoring Moisturizer" all over my body. Its has a more light cream liquid consistency and the pump makes it easier to apply all over. They both work amazing. They are scent-free and leave your body super moisturized with a non-greasy feel for those that don't like that.
I on the other hand don't mind oiling myself up (In the winter) because it helps lock in all the moisture. So I use a couple drops of "Bio-Oil" and finish off moisturizing my entire body. This little bottle of Bio-Oil runs for about $12 in the drug store but if you would like to try it out, or for those who already have it and want to restock Groupon is currently offering two packs of the bigger oz bottle for a really good price check it out Bio Oil (Groupon)
Lastly we can't forget about our lips. These are my three favorite lip balms/ chap sticks of all time.
Nivea a kiss of mint is my go to product for my lips all year round.
If i need a heavier chapstick nothing beats my Carmex Lip Balm I rely on it heavily in the winter time because my lips dry up rather easily

To prep my lips for lipstick I use my Maybelline "Baby Lips" to avoid any chapped lips underneath my lipstick

If you've been avoiding chap sticks and your lips are already chapped don't worry girl I was there two weeks ago lol I really suggest purchasing a lip scrub to get rid of any dead skin, luckily I have my Skinny Girl "Lip Scrub" I just apply it over my lips and massage them with each other until all of the little beads dissolve. I then wash my lips with warm water and follow with lip balm.
All of these products can be found at your local drug store but if it's too cold for you to step out just yet I will post the a couple of links where you can find them online. (Remember though if it's drug store it;s better to purchase in person it's faster and you don't have to deal with shipping)
