City Life ...

Hey beauties!

I'm heading to the city to run errands with my mom and then heading to dinner so I decided to turn up the notch just a bit with my makeup. I'm not into a "cake face" I enjoy using makeup to enhance my beauty not to create an illusion. I love a "no makeup" makeup look. I did a mini beauty haul this weekend at target so some of the products above I'm trying on for the first time I'll let you guys know what I think of them after a couple of uses. Now let's get to it !

Dior Hydra Life Tinted Moisturizer- "Shade 2"

Mac Prolongwear Concealer - NW30
I applied this with a beauty sponge I bought in TJ max for $5 It works really well for me I can't compare it to the famous beauty blender because I have never owned it but I love this sponge the brand I believe is called Belle Beauty

The Balm Blush - "Frat Boy"

The Balm - "Mary-Lou Manizer"
My Favorite Luminizer I apply it on top of my cheek bones and down the bridge of my nose it looks so beautiful and gives you a beautiful glow

I applied some on my arm to show you how beautiful it looks when the light shines on it very subtle but perfectly shimmery at the same time

Stila Face Luminizer - "Sun Highlighter"

NYX Matte Lipstick - "Natural" My absolute favorite lipstick and you can tell by the name exactly why lol. It's a nice rosey pink that gives my lips just a little more color but still look natural. Can be purchased at Ulta.com or Target.com for $6

Tips on use: I do blot this lipstick in order to achieve an even more natural look

Products I'm trying for the first time this week..

Khroma Beauty Deeply Felt Precision Eyeliner - "Black

Neutrogena Shine Control Powder "Invisible"

Thank you for viewing my blog beauties!

Hair Masque anyone ?

Hey ladies so I ran to target today because it was time to stock up on my hair masque and I'd like to talk about the two most effective ones that worked for me.

I naturally have what most would consider to be "good" hair but I cannot put my irons and wands down. To top it off I dyed my hair three times within the last two months. My hair became very dry and brittle. I'd been using the Shea Moisture Treatments here and there for a while prior to dying my hair I loved the smell and feel of them but WOW! I never knew how much they really worked for me until I used them to recover from all the hair dye.

The one I'm using most is the...

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque w/ Sea Kelp and Argan Oil - "Dry, Damaged Hair. Helps Heal, Grow and Strengthen"

Tips on use: I use this masque twice a week after I wash my hair I leave it on in the shower while I bathe myself and then rinse it off.

Once a week I switch for the...

Shea Moisture Yucca and Baobab Anti-Breakage Masque w/ Biotin and Bamboo Extract - "For Thin, Fine Hair helps Thicken, Volumize and Soften Hair"

These masque have really helped in restoring my hair of it's shine and moisture. I love that this brand has no Sulfates and Parabens which most products carry and will dry your hair instead of hydrate it. Today at Target I decided to pick up their Shampoo, Conditionr and Argan Oil I'll try it out and let you know how it works for me in the future. I really recommend  buying one and if you can't get both I would get the Deep Treatment Masque first. As always ladies please be consistent with it, if I weren't I would have probably left them both to sit on my shelf not knowing how much they actually worked for me.

You can buy these at Duane Reade or Target for around $11-15 depending where you go.

Thank you ladies ! Any questions drop a comment below <3

Escape the afternoon shadow..

Hey ladies don't you just hate having to deal with your underarms every two days ? Worrying about your afternoon shadow and your skin becoming irritated ?

Let's get to talking about my Epilady -

In the summer my underarms were getting extremely irritated and I was experiencing extreme sensitivity.
My dermatologist told me I was allergic to razors (underarm area only). I was bummed and in desperate need of an affordable alternative. Laser Hair removal would be great but way too expensive. As I was grouponing in bed late at night I saw a deal for the Epilady Legend Epilator and I decided to give it a try.

How does it work ?
It's like pieces of little steel shaped in a "V" form. The hair enters the opening of the "V" and by the time it's at the end where the two steels connect it gets caught and because there are many of these rotating on the epilady it causes it to pull the hair from the root.

Pros:
- You don't have to worry about shaving your underarms for over a week !

- Shaving constantly creates a dark shadow on your underarms caused by thick hairs underneath waiting to surface. Epilady will lighten up your underarms revealing a sexy light hairless underarm, you can raise your arms freely and with confidence!

- It's rechargeable so you won't have to worry about running out to buy batteries

- When hair begins to grow back it is thin and barely noticeable giving you extra shave-free time

Cons:
- It hurts! I wouldn't consider myself tolerant to pain but when it comes to beauty I suck it up. At the beginning of your epilady journey the scale of pain from 1-10 felt like a solid 8 for me... But that's for me some people call me dramatic so take that rate for what you will lol. After a couple of uses, expectations and results it stands at a bearable 6.

Would I recommend? 100% yes for those willing to take the pain

Btw! It works well for your legs too but it's a long process so I don't really use it there unless I'm bored

Epilady Legend Rechargable Epilator runs originally for about 80$ I got my from groupon for $39.99. They offer sales on it on Amazon and Hautelook if you are interested in purchasing it let me know I will keep an eye out for the sale because even though it's amazing and has worked wonders for me I wouldn't want you guys to pay so much for it.

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting my blog I love you guys !

Wake up & Makeup !

Good morning beauties!
This morning I was "suppose" to present my power point in class about Earth's Atmosphere... But my professor postponed it for the third time .. I woke up extra early for nothing.

It's pretty windy outside in NYC and since my school is located by the water I knew my face would need some serious hyrdration so that is why I reached for the following:

To start off I applied..

Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Concealer is Medium-
It goes on smoothly but you have to set it with powder because it does crease. (I just used some translucent powder from a VS palette I have it doesn't provide any specific name)

I then followed that with my..

NYX Collection Noir Liquid Black Liner-
I've been obsessed with it lately I will post later this week all about eyeliners that I love and liners I've fallen out of love with.
I just applied it on my top lash line to add more definition to my top lash line. I purchase mine at Beauty35 beauty supply store by Herald Square for those of you in NY I'm sure you can find it on www.Amazon.com or try www.Ulta.com

Now it was time to apply my..

Dior Hydra Life Tinted Moisturizer in shade 2-
Dior I believe only offers three shades and I own both 1 and 2. I only love my tinted moisturizer in the fall or winter because of my oily skin type it does no justice for me during hot summer days.(You will be looking shiny/sweaty)
I bought mine at Sephora for $50 I haven't tried any other tinted moisturizers but I love the natural medium coverage it provides. I applied it with my Real Techniques Pink Stippling Brush which can be purchased at www.ulta.com for $10

Milani Baked Bronzer in shade "Glow"-
I applied this on my temples and did just a little bit of contouring to the cheekbones. This bronzer is gorgeous I barely go for it but putting it on today I think I'm falling in love. I love coral orange blushes and bronzer that offer beautiful radiance and this bronzer does it for my skin. I got mine in CVS for sale they had a buy 1 get one half off. Wait for the sales girls!

I finished my look with..

Maybelline's Dream Bounce Blush-
The shade is not provides on the packaging sorry girls. I just applied this on my cheeks all the way back and up in a slant heading towards my eyebrow tips idk if I explained that well. I bought mine at Target for $5 www.target.com but it is available in most Drug Stores like Duane Reade and Rite Aid

This post was just to let you girls know what makeup I am working with today I will provide a post about my favorite blushes, bronzers etc in the future.

Hope you ladies enjoyed !

Mask it all away..

While I study for my midterms I decided to apply one of my favorite Masque from the Queen Helene line. Drying on my face right now is the Mint mask. Since this product has helped me so much I decided to pick up other masques from the line and ill offer below my opinion/review of the following:

Mint Julep Masque - "Helps dry up acne pimples, rinse away blackheads & shrink enlarged pores"

It does just that I recommend using this mask twice a week and I promise you your blackheads will begin to disappear. I don't always have time to apply the entire mask so what I do is apply it on my problem areas like my cheeks and nose. Quick tip since it is recommended by the brand to wash your face before use I suggest using a gentle cleanser and stay away from scrubs because your face WILL feel like it is on fire (wish someone would have told me that before lol)

Would I recommend? Yes
Would I repurchase ? Already have

Antioxidant Grape Seed Extract Masque- Cleans clogged pores, softens facial lines, soothes and tones skin

I originally bought this because it was a Peel Off Masque and I could really use it when I am in a rush before work and want smoother skin. I like it because it does help soothe out my skin. I don't know how well it works with pimples because I don't apply it for anything but a smoother flawless face.

Would I reccomend ? Yes, I feel it is important for everyone to own atleast one peel off mask.

Would I repurchase ? I wouldn't mind trying out another brand before repurchasing.

Olive Oil Intense Moisture Facial Masque-
"Soothes, Softens and Refreshes Skin with a Surge of Intense Hydration"

When trying on new products I tend do obsess over them when I see results and end up drying up my face really bad. My skin started peeling one day and I felt busted I was moisturizing 24/7 but nothing seemed to help or improve my skin condition until I picked up this baby at the beauty supply store out of desperation. Thankfully it worked. When you apply it, it goes on a dark minty green as seen to the right on the photo above but it turns a very clear green as your skin starts to absorb and let in all of the hydrating formula. Since my skin is oily I only use this mask when I overdue it and it really does its job.

Would I recommend? Yes
Would I repurchase? Yes

All of Queen Helene's Masques should be available at your local beauty supply store for around $3-5 depending on the size.

Ladies if you are going to purchase the Mint Masque please be consistent with it make the time to cater to your face so you can better your chances of seeing results.

Thank you all again for taking the time to read my blogs I hope I have enlightened you all atleast a little with my posts.

Talk about Serious cleansing !

I use to scrub away at my face a lot just to feel like I got rid of the makeup and dirt on my face. One night as I was grouponing away (Everynight at 1am lol I stay up just to grab the new deals) I saw a deal for the Sirius Sonic Skincare system. Now I've always had my eyes on the Mia Clarisonic but honestly I wasn't trying to pay over 100$. So when I saw this I purchased it right away. I've got to stay that I am very happy I did. Even after I wash my face I go in after with my Sirius Sonic and it's still removing makeup off my Face that I would've unknowingly left behind.

A little bit on my skin type I'm not one to breakout and get pimples  unless I have a pie of pizza or  2 gallons of pepsi. What I do suffer from are these annoying little blackheads that surface underneath my skin making it appear bumpy which I hate. The Sirius Sonic has really helped reduce and get rid of the blackheads on my cheek area. I wash my face with it every night I pair it with my Neautrogena Grapefuit Cleanser, Clean and Clear Face Wash or Palmers Complexion Soap.

Tip for use:
Only use it once preferably at night because it provides such deep cleansing you don't want to deprive your skin of its natural oils causing it to peel (been there done that). Plus at night is when you want to wash away all the makeup and dirt on your face. Do! Wash your face with your regular cleanser in the morning though because it will provide a nice clean surface for makeup application.

Sirius Sonic Skincare System: I got mine from groupon for 26$ I'll keep an eye out for those who are interested when groupon puts up the deal again. It originally runs for around 55$ but sometimes they have it on sale on Amazon for about 30$.

Would I recommend this product ? 100% I've already recommend to a couple of my friends and they too have seen improvement with their skin.

Stay connected with me for more on my skin care regimen.

Just one more day !

"Eww that sounds nasty why don't you just wash your hair?"

Girl please we all have that one day where we are either too tired to wash and style our hair or we just have to run out  the door.

If you're hair is oily like me and you just need your hair to pull through that one extra day for you I really reccomend TRESemmé's Dry Shampoo for fine oily hair. You know the old trick just patting on some baby powder to your head and calling it a day? Right? Or was I the only weirdo? If you were #teambabypowder then TRESemmé finally created a product with us in mind. It works similar to the baby powder trick only that application is crucial. If you apply it too close to your hair you will have a head full of grey hair, but when applied a foot or two away the powdered substance will absord all lol in your hair making it appear oil free.

Tips to use:
I only tend to reach for this product when my hair is straight; so if I do, once I apply it on my head I brush it through and if I have time I use my blower to brush it out on top so it'll give my hair an even fresher appearance because once your hair gets oily it tends to clump together into thick strands but if u brush it with heat the concentrating of the heat and dry shampoo together will break up the clumps.

TRESemmé Dry Shampoo retails at around 6$ at your local drug store if you wait for Sundays in Rite Aid they usually offer 2 for the price of one deals on TRESemmé products.

Thank you for all the support I truly appreciate it and if there is anything you're interested in finding out about just let me know.

In a rushh

Morning beauties !
So I hit my snooze button twice this morning, when I finally got out of bed I was in rush zone.
My "go to" products to look awake and ready to conquer this long day of classes are as follows:

- Garnier BB Cream in Medium/Dark

- Mac Pro Longwear Concealer NW30

- Stila Face Luminator / Sun Highlighter

- The Balm "Frat Boy" blush

- Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Black

- Rosewood Cuticle Oil

Ladies don't neglect your cuticles.. Cold weather is approaching us New Yorkers and even the prettiest nail lacquer is bound to look dull if your cuticles are dry and crusty lol. I'm serious my sister nagged me about mine and now I never leave the house without an application. Beautiful cuticles can make even a two week old gel manicure look "pumpin" as my sister would say.

Have a great day !
