Hello December Nails

Hey loves and a warm welcome to one of my favorite months of the year December :)

I just love the holidays..

So because I have a hectic schedule as many of you know I just relied on the nail salon and got Gel Manicures two times a month. I loved that I didn't have to deal with the hassle of maintaining my nails and Etc but the harm I was causing my nails was horrendous. They were so weak that it was beginning to hurt more everytime I went in for a new manicure. Three weeks ago I finally decided to say bye to the Gel and hello to my natural nails.

My nails were in horrible condition when I went to take off my gel I couldn't even let the woman finish my manicure because the sensitivity was at an all time high. She told me I needed to go buy calcium laquer to recover my nails from all the damage.

When I went to Rite Aid I came across "Nail Tek II Intensive Therapy" my friend told me about it a while ago and I finally gave it a try. I promise you my nails felt so much better that first week and now three weeks in they are stronger and growing beautifully.

How I Sytle my nails

Step One:

I just removed my previous color and you can see all the damage that the gel did but I promise you it's soooo much better. Anyways since I am growing my nails I file them instead of clipping them. I use the Sally Hansen "Handle with care" nail file.

Step Two:
I apply cuticle oil "Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil" and with the silver stick tool displayed above I gently push the top of my cuticles back so they appear even ( This is important when painting your nails and getting a straight clean finish )

Step Three:
I only cut off the little hang nails and hard cuticles off the sides I don't go crazy with the cuticle cutter because the more you use it the more your produce it so that's why it's very important to apply cuticle oil on a daily basis

Step Four:
I apply my "Nail Tek" as a base coat to protect and strengthen my nails. This retails at about $11 at your local drugstore. I promise it's worth the price.

Step Five:
You can either leave your natural nails with the base coat or add some color
This is Essie "Sole Mate" with just two coats you are good to go. Now ladies I am a righty so when working with my left hand I have the worse control but make sure you take extra time and it should come out just as fine.

Enjoy loves !
